not carnival.
actually, you will get more useful information if you will tell a little about yourself and what you are looking for from a cruise - married or single? hard partying & drinking? etc. different lines focus on different things.
I've been on two and definitely prefer Norwegian over Royal Caribbean. Norwegian has Free Style cruising - so you don't have set dining times and it's much more casual. Also, we had an issue with Royal Caribbean which they refuse to resolve. I'll never sail with them again.
The Cruise Critic website is a really good resource. You should check it out.
I definitely favor the Oceania Cruise Line. It's a small line with only three ships, adding a fourth this next year. BUT there are a max of 684 passengers and a staff/crew of 400, so almost 1:1 service! And that's what it is: SERVICE!
We have been on a few cruises but I am struggling answering this question as we need more information about. If you like fun, partying till the early hours, informal cruising then Carnival if you want something a bit more upmarket for the mature generation then Celebrity maybe. But I would suggest that you read the reviews on http://www.Cruise.co.uk which has a cruise passenger rater where if you can see what ship is suitable for you depending on age, destination and budget.

I think carnival might be OK if you are young, single, want to party and gamble a lot, and don't much care about where you are going.
