I can think of many many lower forms - television animation series such as The Simpsons, King of the Hill, etc,; most television neality shows; most award shows; pinball machines; strip joints; child beauty pageants; demolition derbies ... In fact, any form of entertainment that I don't enjoy qualifies. (sarcasm intended)

No, reality shows (not involving an actual talent) are the worst, but they're all bad for the same reason. It doesn't take any art to create such shows, and it doesn't take much imagination to watch them. Give me some really cool abstracted allegory and satire and coherent--albeit subtle and complex--statements about the condition of man. Engage my creative life-force.
