    2) Thou shalt stay calm, cool and collected in comments threads

    3) Thou shalt not troll

    4) Thou shalt not talk about trolls by name, nor pay attention to trolls when they come around and act like the Jerkites

    6) Thou shalt not answer questions with nonsense answers like "I don't know" or "Maybe"

    7) Thou shalt not engage in retaliatory downrating

    8) Thou shalt not spam Answerbag

    9) Thou shalt remember that because Answerbag is not Myspace, thou shalt not use text messaging language in questions or answers.

    10) Thou shalt remember that Answerbag is about people, not points.

    2.) Thou shalt not post a question that has already been asked.
    3.) Thou shalt rate questions and answers based upon accuracy and relevancy, not upon thy personal opinion of your fellow Answerbaggers or their views.
    4.) Thou shalt respect the religious and political beliefs, as well as the race, gender, and sexual orientation, of thy fellow Answerbaggers.

    Honor thy own brain and use your creativity

    Thou shalt not have any other Q&A sites before me :o)

    Uprate much more than you downrate, and explain why when you DR (if ever)

    Ask intelligent, original questions and give intelligent, original answers. Neither of these involve cutting and pasting.

    Employ a dictionary and sense of grammar. No one wants to get a headache reading your question.

    NEVER ask a "What's the first thing that comes to mind . . ." question. :o)

    Name calling is for elementary school kids, choose to argue intelligently and respectfully. Take it offline if you must or contact a CL.

    Don't cheat and ask ABers to do your homework for you.

    Recognize and respect differences of opinion.

    Don't be a troll whether that means DRing or posting inappropriate material.

    Save the text speak for your cell phone.

    Use the search box the check for duplicate questions before you ask one.

    Don't have dramatic fits over anything. If you need to take a break, do so quietly. If you choose to leave AB, do so with dignity.

    Don't be a points whore.

    Accept DRs and move on. We ALL get them troll and non-troll and it's not worth fussing over. They're just points. Turn your ratings off and you will be much happier here.

    Good. I haven't broken that one. Yahoo! Answers isn't worthy of my praise, anyway.

    1) Thou shalt know how to write a good question that can be understood by many if you wish to receive good answers.
    2) Thou shalt answer questions in a way that will help the questioner.
    3) Thou shalt not troll.
    4) Thou shalt choose your ratings wisely, and if you don't, be warned!;)
    5) Thou shalt not praise Yahoo! Answers (I included this just for you).

    This is hard coming up with ten, you know. I'll try to continue. Hopefully these all have made sense so far, and hopefully they will continue to make sense, if they do.

    6) Thou shalt not answer a question or ask questions just to get points.
    7) Thou shalt not down rate other AB users because you disagree with them.
    8) Thou shalt not steal other peoples answers.
    9) Thou shalt not down rate people just because you are jealous that other people have a better answer than you.
    10) Thou shalt be loyal to the bag.

    If thou findst in thyself to be disobedient to the commands AB has set out for thee, thou shalt be punished.

    Here's a few more, Sorry, I can't think of a great answer because I'm still learning AB, but I will try anyway. (Sorry again, I couldn't help putting them in the (Thou) format. (I see now that others did the same thing,, maybe great minds do think alike?)

    How about some of the staff and top ranking ABer's opinions.... on this question?????

    Thou shall "Honor the Wisdom" of our high ranking ABer's and the AB staff.

    Thou shall NOT put any other of your daily activities above Answerbag.

    Thou shall try not to repeat questions.

    Thou shall not rate negative for some one's opinion ye don't like.

    Thou shall not write unintelligent, stupid or illegible questions.

    Thou shall not steal another person's answer and make it their own.

    Thou shall answer to the best of your abilities.

    Thou shall not answer questions that you have no clue about.

    Thou shall not use foul language when answering or commenting on any question.

    Thou shall CONTINUE to review the question(s) you've asked, to see any new answers that others have
    given. Please reward them with a comment, points or both. At least they will know they have been acknowledged for their contributions to AB.

    Here's my proposal for a complete list.

    1-Thou shalt not hold any other sites or communities above Answerbag.
    2-Thou shalt maintain a fall back position of friendliness and good will towards fellow ABers.
    3-Thou shalt not troll.
    4-Thou shalt not attempt to impose your views apon others or treat your own opinion as though it were fact.
    5-Thou shalt not blatantly ridicule the spelling and grammer skills of others.
    6-Thou shalt not try to ask a statement as a question.
    7-Thou shalt not type in all caps.
    8-Thou shalt not hold points and levels in regard above usefull answers and eloquent comments.
    9-Thou shalt not steal any other user's avatar, question, or answer.
    10-Thou shalt not fear to question the decisions of the staff and moderators, remember that they work for *Us*.

    Never ask AB folks to add information to the answer (like for school work)
    Understand that everyone has her/his own opinion and an opinion different than yours is not always wrong.
    Understand there are two sides (and usually more) to every arguement.
    Understand that you aren't perfect either.

    Maybe we should take a vote! Here's my stab at it:

    1. Thou shall hold no other answer sites above AB

    2. Thou shall make thyself an avatar which is unique from others

    3. Thou shall not use profanity. Sharp wit is always appreciated, however.

    4. Thou shall recommend AB to others so that we can have more participants

    5. Honor the questioner with points if you answer the question, or the answerer if you are the questioner

    6. Thou shall not troll

    7. Thou shall not participate in retaliatory downrading

    8. Thou shall not steal other people's answers

    9. Thou shall not use AB as your only homework tool. We can help, but will not complete your entire worksheet for you.

    10. Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's point total

    4. Thou shall rate good answers to their own questions (provided they are good answers)
    5. Thou shall not whore for points

    8. Thou shall not IGNORE questions that they simply don't agree with (as in homework/religion questions) and not break in to give a nasty or unhelpful answer/comment
