The fact that he is pointing out global warming is a good thing.If he is wasting energy then he is one of the many hypocrites,including ourselves.He is not perfect and neither are we.

i don't agree with this statement/question... i think we should all be careful where we are getting our information and from who. i still really like his book " earth in the balance: ecology and the human spirit " his movie "an incovinient truth", has been generally well received by critics, scientists and politicians, even becoming required classroom material in schools across the world, including Norway and Sweden. i am not saying to blindly agree with what ever you are told but the main stream newspapers are very much in bed with the current conservative politics that dominate much of the world right now (esp: USA). this means scewed opinions. :: "The question is whether privileged elites should dominate mass communication, and should use this power as they tell us they must – namely to impose necessary illusions, to manipulate and deceive the stupid majority and remove them from the public arena. He just said that the temp of the Earth is several million degrees if you go 2 km down. I believe that you'd be melted if you had something several million degrees less than 2 miles away. The surface of the Sun is about 10,000 degrees. It's about 12,000 degrees in the molten center of the Earth and about 1 million in the hot part of the Sun. 2 km down it's several million degrees according to the High Preist who claims to predict the future temp of the planet for the next 100 years. Interesting to know that it's hotter just a few thousand feet down than it is on the Sun. I always thought that it was around a thousand degrees.
