No. You need to go to the drug store and by a anti-yeast cream, like Monistat, to treat it. If this is your very first infection, it is best to go to the doctor just to make sure that it is benign. All the best to you.

depends on when your pd starts. YES the period will wash away the infection if your infection is caused by messed up hormones which can happen before the onset of menstruation. BUT if its gonna be a week or so before your period i suggest try the cream or a suppository. yeast infections suck

It doesn't work that way. It must be treated. There are many OTC creams/suppositories and the store brand works just as well as paying for Monistat. Your doctor can call you in a pill for it but first they will need to do an exam and be sure that is what it is. Sometimes people mistake other conditions for yeast infection.

Go see your doctor, or planned parent hood if you don't have any money, and get a rx for diflucan. You should only need to take this 1 time, if it is really just a yeast infection. I wouldn't count on your period washing it away, just like I wouldn't count on my period on washing away a STD if I had one(wouldn't the world be better off if this worked). Get some meds.
