You work as a Cust Ser Rep, a customer calls you to place an order. Later you go ahead & call customers, & you inadvertenly call the same customer who just called you to place order earlier when they tell you you called before would you feel stupid?

Nah, I'd probably push it off as "This is just a courtesy call to confirm your order, Mr. Customer. You wanted five toner cartridges sent via FedEx overnight to 1234 Lucky Lane, correct?"

You work at ice plant, you call customers to see if they need ice, what if you called customer & got their order, the drivers deliver, but when you get in next morning boss tells you customer did not want ice for yesterday but today, would you feel silly?
