  • After you've inserted the text box and set your formatting to your liking...right-click on the box to get the short menu (not inside the box). Select "SET AS DEFAULT TEXT BOX" Every text box you use thereafter (for that spreadsheet) will default to the your chosen format. Unfortunately, outside of writing code to have this done automatically, you'll need to set the default for each new spreadsheet you open.
