Nope, they're letting the democrats do that for them. :) Such silly poloticians :)
-
Of course they are... It's that old right wing conspiracy got us in its spell, that old conspiracy that we know so well, Icy lies and distortions up and down our spine, That same old politics that let the IRS take yours and mine... Maybe Ellary FitzClinton should have been president.

They plan to kill health care but it's not a secret. They have been saying for months that the most important thing to do is defeat Obama's initiatives. It has nothing to do with health care, or the economy and everything to do with them getting back in power. They hate the fact that the people want decent regulation of the stock market and real oversight in fields from the FDA to the FAA. The republican philosophy of deregulating everything and selling the rest of government to private contractors has failed but they can't admit that and they really can't stand not being in power. The worst part is that democrats are such pussies that they are still trying to build a coalition with these sleazebags. There are probably 20 House representatives and 4 or 5 Senators that should keep their seats the rest should be shit canned and replaced with real people.

I don't know when I last saw so much purple prosed red meat 'journalism' so yellow you can smell the piss through the internet connection. . It's a screaming, roaring single-goaled right-wing mob of intent sign-brandishing disrupters with anger that encompasses a universe(!) of conservative fears! Run you bastards! Especially if you're Rep. Doggett. Never mind that he had scheduled 'office hours' (why are these words in quotes? I have no idea) for constituents. These were his constituents. And boy did he not want to hang around and talk to them. . Prolly he was hoping to talk to his OTHER constituents, the ones he likes. . But my main question is this: how the hell do you storm a parking lot? Castles and towers I understand, but honestly, there's just not much about a parking lot that makes it stormable. Just saying. . And what's with the 'near-riot' thing? It there some kind of riot-o-meter that just doesn't quite make it past 98%? Are there maybe two, one for Democrats (peaceful protesters) and another for Republicans (angry mobs)? . But to the question: No, GOP operatives are not running a secret campaign to kill health care reform based on Karl Rove's old playbook. . Various members of the right are doing what they can to oppose a plan(s) that they believe is not in the best interests of Americans at large and (horrors!) not in the best interests of some of the businesses some of them are part of. It's called politics and it turns out, despite claims of many of those on the left, Karl Rove didn't invent politics.
-
Except that their campaign isn't very secret, and seems to only be because the reform's proponent is Democrat.
-
It's hardly a secret - and they're not trying to kill healthcare "reform" - they're trying to kill Obama's plan to extend and complete government control of the healthcare system and thus complete its ruin. But we're all in favor of genuine healthcare reform - which would entail actually making insurance companies compete in a free market without all sorts of costly mandated useless coverage by the state and federal governments. We'd also like to make it so that private citizens can claim insurance premiums as a tax deduction the way businesses can. And of course we want to rescue doctors and hospitals from predatory litigators by pushing through real tort reform and rational limits on malpractice awards.

There was some GOP master stragetist who died from brain cancer years back...his name was Lee Atwater I think. He started a lot of this stuff. Rove is not an orginator/creator...he is a copy cat clone as are all those who have followed in Atwater's footsteps. They don't even have the decency to give the guy attribution! :(

Can't argue with success, particularly of Luddites.
