"A gesture to follow, she offered her hand, I reached out for hers, but could not understand. Then I was led, where the spring flows, I saw the tallest waterfall, with sprays of kaleidoscopic rainbows. And the sound of a music, so far and clear, the voice of an angel, I could hear." - by Mike777 (part of a poem I wrote several years ago, I've read only a few poems)

You can write whatever you want to write. Good poetry is what the reader says is good poetry. I read a lot of poetry before I ever wrote one. I've written about 25 poems, with not one college English course dealing with writing poetry. A lot of people say they like my poetry. I don't know if the poetry I've read was very good, I just knew that I liked some of it. And if the poetry I write inspires or brings a smile (or tear) to the face of the reader, then that's good enough for me.

yes poetry are emotions describe by your soul and we all have a spirit so if you feel beautiful today you'll write beautiful poems if you are angry then it well come as that a poem is always good in the eyes of its own creator or why would he spend the time to coem up with it.the only way a poem is bad if its been critisied by others saying it sbad and you except it.

of course, if you have talent passion and ability. you can have all the passion in the world but it wont make the poem good. as yeats says in under ben bulben

Poet and sculptor, do the work,
Nor let the modish painter shirk
    What his great forefathers did
