Help answer this question below.
No. Men and women have the same number of ribs.
There is a possibility that a person can have an extra rib, called the cervical rib. This is true for both sexes.
Men and women have the same number of ribs. The myth that men have fewer ribs than women probably came from Genesis.
No to both questions.

Yes there is an evolutionary reason. One less rib gives man the ability to bob on his own knob. After acheiving ejaculation he can then proceed to spit the contents in the face of his enemies, the evolutionary benefit of such a total diss is clear. +4
Yes... women need an extra rib because they will have to wear a bra - and so it gives them an extra bit of reinforcement to uphold their assets.
But seriously.. think about it - do you ever watch CSI? or any of those programmes? When they have to identify the sex of a skeleton, they always do it by the pelvic bone, or the ridge on the brow of the skull. If women had one less rib, wouldn't it be much easier to count the ribs and work out that way if it was male or female?
It's untrue. Went to Lil' Porgy's last night with my sister. 12 ribs each. She DID get more fries, but that's only because she's really pretty.
1) It is not true, so we don't need to find a reason for it.

2) "The number of ribs was noted by the Flemish anatomist Vesalius in his key work of anatomy De humani corporis fabrica in 1543, setting off a wave of controversy, as it was traditionally assumed from the Biblical story of Adam and Eve that men's ribs would number one fewer than women's. Variations in the number of ribs occurs. About 1 in 200 people has an additional cervical rib and there is a female predominance. Intrathoracic supernumerary ribs are extremely rare."

The church might have used this lie to prove male domiance, as it was very common when the bible was written. Woman were little more than sex slaves in some cultures back then.
