John Olerud, he went straight from Washington State to the Toronto Blue Jays without ever playing a game in the minor leagues. He was one of the rare players who was major league ready coming straight out of college and had a very good career. He won one batting title and made a run at batting .400 but ended up with a .363 average that year.

There a lot of players over the years. Three of them are Bob Feller, Al Kaline and Mel Ott, who each went directly from high school to the majors, without the benefit of college or semi-pro experience, and completed Hall of Fame careers without ever changing teams. There were many others that went from College to the Majors as well.
