?? I wouldn't be trying to assemble a new appliance. Do you mean read the user directions? I'd read the user directions if it were not obvious how to use the appliance. Usually it IS obvious.

I'm a diver, I never read directions. Do I sometimes have to get them out of the trash? Yup:(

I just like to dive in, usually it's really simple, but if can't figure it out, i;ll go back and look at the directions.+5

Yes, I do. There would be too many parts left over, and I'd probably have to add some duct tape here and there if I didn't use the instructions.

Nope...and that's probably why I always end up with extra hardware and stuff.

Yes, but I dont always follow them.

I try to, but I usually get fed up with them. I hate following and making sense of instructions! :(

I try to do it myself first. Then, when I screw it up, I refer to the directions. :-) They can be very helpful if written by one who speaks fluent English.
-
Yeah! I'm "anal" that way! Every time I try to circumvent reading the instructions, I pay for it "dearly" later! I try to LEARN from my NUMEROUS mistakes!
-
Rarely.

almost always. my husband on the other hand.....

Always, ...to not do so is just asking for trouble. too often the proper assembly of things that come dis-assembled, defies logic.
