  • not really. their life is their life. the only thing that pisses me off about celebrities is that some will do a children's movie & then turn around a do an R rated one. i don't like for them to take the risk of becoming a role model for little kids if they're going to be doing serious roles or be involved in films that children should not be subjected to.
  • Yes. I can separate them. I am really into Elton John music. When I was in college, I heard, on the radio, that he had "come out" as "bi". At that time, I decided I didn't give a crap what they did in their personal lives... That it's the product the produce that I like. Another thing is that in the vast majority of cases, especially actors, THEY are not the ONLY people who are responsible for, nor who should get credit for, movies and TV shows. There are writers, directors, producers, other cast members, editors, sound people, etc. Attempting to "boycott" a good movie or TV show because of an actor COULD put a LOT of people out of work. This is the same with sports teams. In ALL cases, besides the person you don't like, and those who work with them, you are also putting local businesses (those relying on the concert, movies or sports to bring in customers - the movie theaters, concession stands, nearby restaurants and bars, sometimes hotels (for the sports), taxi drivers, etc.) into dire straits. That's not to mention the venues where the celebrities, movies and sports will play, that rely on ticket sales to keep going.
  • Usually yes. There are a few actors, musicians etc. that I listen to and watch that I don't actually like as people, but that has no bearing on my admiration for their art, though if they were found guilty of something like paedophilia I might change this point of view.
