When my husband and I enrolled in our city's Citizen Policy Academy. It was very informative and lots fun learning more about the Police Dept. .. going on patrol with them and even going to their shooting range. Really gives you great insight into what they do.
I met an absolutely gorgeous off duty policeman in a restaurant one night. It may just be that.
anytime it ended with the officer saying something along the lines of "Im going to let you go with a warning this time, blah blah blah"
Unfortunately, none. Although I must say the officer who arrested me for DUI was very professional.

How do cops maintain their energy level? You never see a cop that's flustered or laid back. Do they drink a lot of Red Bull?

Did you get to do any training exercises where either you or your husband got to play a cop or a criminal?

It's actually called the Citizens' Police Academy. It was really just listening to lectures from various officers about what they do. We did have some role playing (nothing like shoot 'em up stuff though) and did the ride alongs and went to the firing range. The cops were very open and excited to share the info.
I would do it again if I could.
