I sang about this in church the other day: It's not easy trying to understand How the world can be so cold, stealing the souls of man Cloudy skies rain down on all your dreams You wrestle with the fear and doubt Sometimes it's hard but you gotta believe Chorus: There's a better place, where our Father waits And every tear He'll wipe away The darkness will be gone, the weak shall be strong Hold on to your faith There will come a day, there will come a day Wars are raging, lives are scattered Innocence is lost, and hopes are shattered The old are forgotten, the children are forsaken In this world we're living in Is there anything sacred? There will come a day, there will come a day The song will ring out, down those golden streets The voices of earth with the angels will sing Every knee will bow, sin will have no trace In the glory of His amazing grace Every knee will bow, sin will have no trace In the glory of His amazing grace There will come a day, there will come a day Oooh there will come a day I know there's coming a day, coming a day =========== it only makes any sense if you focus on Jesus and know that he is going to judge all wrong and then wipe it away.

I wonder too. It is so bad anymore it makes me wonder why people want to keep having kids and that is sad. I would never change the fact I have mine but it does scare me. And I am not saying we shouldn't have kids either. But it is so sad to think what is going on and how we have gotten to this point. What happened to people loving people. It is not long ago when other people looked out for each other and their children like they was their own and now some people don't even value life itself. So depressing I hate to watch the news, Nothing on the news is good anymore. If it is not horrible they don't want to tell it.

Unfortunately this type of behavior has been around and will continue to be around. Media is more enhanced with todays technology with such sources as radio,Internet and TV (CNN) so we're hearing this on a daily basis.

Things like that have always taken place, but they were kept as family secrets or received very little publicity. The newspapers were "sanitized" in order not to offend sensitive people. The press got tougher and started portraying things like they were during and after the Vietnam War. The world has always been loaded with all kinds of problems, but the press, radio and the TV are portraying events that used to be kept away from the public.

As most people don't know, Most of these happenings are in the U.S.A. This type of stuff doesnt happen in other places very often.

This is simply my opinion ok ..40 years ago it took a community to raise a child... if you were at Mr X's playing with his kids and did something wrong you got corrected and Mr X told your parents and then they corrected you...moms stayed home, sorry ladies if I offend you being a woman myself that is not my intention...if you screwed up in school you got a spanking right there by the principal and then again when you got home...you said a prayer in school and amen after the pledge of allegience....and there was less crime...because people knew what was right and wrong... now flash forward in time to now...where you better not even spank your own kid if they cuss at you or hit you because you will be breaking the law,and let a child misbehave in school and have a teacher so much as look at them cross, and if your kid is down the road at Mr. X's you better hope he is not molesting them, and mom is at work till 9 cause she has no choice..and forsett about saying a prayer in school, dont mention god at all and do not say Amen...just a moment of silence? what makes anyone think that this will make the world a better place? sorry off my soap box now

I wonder the same thing every single day. I'm a new grandmother and I worry so much for my little granddaughter. Will the world ever be safe for her? It wasn't for me or for her mother. I sometimes dream it is. But then the next morning comes and another story on the news. My husband will BAN me from watching the news, because he will look at me and I'll be sitting there crying over the story just told. Why? Who can say? Evil? Might just as well blame it on Global Warming.

Life has ALWAYS sucked. How much of this stuff was happening before 24/7 TV news coverage, blogs, and webcams? Do you think that this stuff is a recent development? For your sake, I hope not. That sort of naive optimism leads to either a rude awakening or suicidal tendencies.

We don't vote We don't hold office holders accountable We watch 'American Idol' but not current affairs. We have surrendered the responsibility for bringing up our kids to professional administrators, psychologists and counsellors. We are conned into working harder every year just to try and stay where we are on the economic scale. Basically - we are now in what I call the 'Neo-Medieval Age' where the corporations and big businesses are the new Barons and the rest of us are wage-slave serfs. But that's only my pondering and I'm,

Because people focus on the small things rather than on the real pressing issues. Example: some people hate me here, believing that this is a sock puppet account. Let's assume for the sake of argument that this is, indeed, a puppet account. Who cares? Why not get mad instead at child molesters. Or fund animal welfare groups? There's so much to do in the outside world.

FREE SPEACH and NO moderation on content, for public broadcasting. If you want to start a war YOU should have to see it, hear it breath it and soak in its herrendousness! If you want a solution to child abuse, take to the f--king streets and tell someone, blogs don't mean sh-t in the real world man!!
