  • In a word, HUMIDITY! It is a nice city, but the weather isn't the best.
  • I made several trips to Houston and always enjoyed the food at Willy G's (Is it still open?) and the friendly women all over Texas. Other than that I found the humidity plus temperature to be a real negative factor. I am aware of the excellent Medical school. What have I overlooked?
  • What does this question even mean? What do you mean "overlooked"?? For what? And by the way I believe Houston is now the 3rd largest City behind NYC and LA.
  • I never thought about it, but Houston is over looked... even by Texans! I never go there unless I HAVE to (humidity). But, now that you mention it, it might make a nice educational trip to take my kids on at some point, and then we can hit Galveston for some beach fun afterwards! :-) Thanks!
  • Clear Lake?
  • Never heard of it.
  • Its a sad thing...............I would say mostly politcal reasons
  • Good question, the only complaints I have heard from out-of-towners are humidity and size of the city. Other than that, it's a great place.
  • hs one of the best hotel's in the world, Caroline Hunt's The Mansion on Turtle creek.
  • because there isn't anything big in houston anymore...no MAJOR attractions...i live in houston and to do fun things...big things i have to go to San Antonio or Dallas, or even the much smaller San Marcos
  • The weather and the sports teams aren't that great is all I can come up with. The suburbs are great here, so I don't think Houston is totally overlooked. New neighborhoods are going up all the time, so obviously there's a demand to live here.
  • Because it isn't home to Hollywood or Famous Beaches or Casinos, but a whole lot of rednecks
  • Hou-ston? Never heard of it. Are you sure it's in Texas?
