Party time? Not really, because one will get fed up of party very quickly. When one get use to work for so long, quitting work is comparing to suicide to that one. The better solution is to work for a cause and use their mind for something more useful. This way they can survive. For me, muslim never retires.

After the next year to 18 months of active duty or so they she will go through a decompression so she can among the civilian life (at least that is how we handle it here in NYC).......she will be with me once this process begins to happen. Then as with an officer, the dog is retire, at that point she will reside in my home for her remaining life.

you could volunteer to train guide dogs for the blind. you have dog training skills. it would make a good retirement hobby.
