Help answer this question below.
Because it is cheap, tasteless and unsatisfying.
Here they mean "Continental" as in the European continent, vs. "American" breakfasts.
"American" breakfasts traditionally offer hot eggs and/or meat, whereas the "European" breakfast is all cold goods like rolls, croissants and the like. Either breakfast could have hot and cold beverages like coffee and juices.

From a British point of view the continent (of Europe) is cheap, tasteless and unsatisfying as well.

lol! fcuking hilarious
by Don Quixote el Manchego on September 22nd, 2009
That's funny cause everyone
else seems to think the British
have one of the worst cuisines
in the whole Europe. :)

That as maybe, but we are only talking breakfasts here and the British breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes and fried bread cannot be beaten.
by fred flintstone on October 12th, 2009
It all depends on the things
You got used to eat.
Eggs, bacon and tomatoes can
be good once in a while,
if prepared correctly.
But not every single day.
.
On top of that, I prefer fresh
bread. And I'm not keen on eating
most types of sausages.
There are other things I'd
prefer to eat.
.
I wouldn't say it can't be
beaten. There are many other
things I would eat.
.
To each their own.
.
P.S.
