Here they mean "Continental" as in the European continent, vs. "American" breakfasts. "American" breakfasts traditionally offer hot eggs and/or meat, whereas the "European" breakfast is all cold goods like rolls, croissants and the like. Either breakfast could have hot and cold beverages like coffee and juices.
