  • In a week. Good luck with that. In this economy you had better hope for 3-4 weeks. Just apply everywhere and be willing to work jobs that you think are below you (if there are any) and hope for the best.
  • McDonalds is always hiring. And WalMart. There are some really easy jobs to get, as long as you don't mind low pay and people judging you for it. It could be just a temporary thing until you find something better.
  • There are newspaper ads that come out every day ... also; Yahoo, MySpace, Craigslist, Monster, and Snag A Job.com always have ads for employment from employers .... also your local STATE Employmnet Services etc .. Best of luck ... +5
  • Find a job fair in your area. Read the help wanted ads. Search online for job openings in your area.
  • Network, network, network. Most jobs are found through someone else who knows of a job opening.
  • put your app in everywhere is really the best advice.
  • If you live in certain areas there are helpwanted.com websites. For example for Lexington KY it is helpwantedlexington.com. There are lots of jobs on those sites. The military is always wanting good, qualified people if you are of age and in the proper condition physically and mentally.
  • start putting in applications and/or resumes everywhere. go online to the job sites, put in your zip code and radius as to how far out you'd travel, and apply apply apply until you have a job. Do not, apply to 1 or 2 and sit and wait for them to call. There are millions of people out of work, so any given job you apply to will have countless others applying to it as well. just blanket the landscape with applications/resumes until you get a new job.
  • Start putting applications in, look in the newspaper, look in the internet, to see if there is anything available in your area. +5
  • Definitely pass your resume out like candy, apply everywhere, but also like you did here, if you are on any other social websites, put the word out. I had a similar situation last October and posted a bulletin on Myspace (when I had an account there) and a friend of mine said his sister needed to hire someone for Christmas help...I've been working there almost a year now and love it!
