The bankss need to do an inventory and determine exactly how much their mortgages are truely worth. Until they do, they are living in LA LA land and not in reality. FOr instance, a house may have a mortgage of 750,000 on it, but if the owner walks away because it is now worth only 500,000, shouldnt the banks take this difference into their true accounting and not list it as still worth 750,000? LA LA land.....
