How so "mess up"? Where as the camera is not getting any information from the card only downloading {outside of reading its capacity and compatabilty} picture image to I don't see it happening. On the other hand there is a whole lot I just don't know.+5

not really your sd card is read only format your camera wont be able to read whats on the card

I havent seen it happen before, i actually put in a messed up sd card in a camera that was out of a old thumb drive, and i couldnt access any of it, but it didnt mess it up. This old thumb drive was a combination mp3 player and could use sd cards battery blew up in it and messed up the sd card.

No, the SD card is not likely to "mess up" your camera, but you will have to find a good SD card that works with the camera before you can start taking large amounts of photos.

Not likely the camera just wont read the sd card. The sd card should not affect the camera at all ;) Fallen XD
