any can be used an excuse to avoid one. But some are truly an obstacle that needs special tending to. My husband is active duty military. This yr at a time away, poses its own special issues, but it certainly has not made it impossible for 100,000s of military couples. Patience, understanding of the duties the job requires are essential. ive personally known military spouses who actually argued over a deployment (as if he had a any say in it)For me, I made a deliberate effort to understand his mission (which is easy since I was a Marine) and he doesnt use the long times apart as an excuse to cheat. It takes two.
