It depends on the book but mainly paperbacks.

Mostly paperbacks as hardbacks cost too much. I read an awful lot and it would be way too expensive.

I prefer paperbacks, smaller and easier to manipulate than a hardback

It doesn't really matter too much to me as far as reading. Paperbacks are lighter to hold but get banged up easier and when I loan them out come back in worse shape. So I suppose hardcover. :-)

Hardbacks, but I prefer paperback for travel.
