I had not heard of the word before so looked it up. This is fascination since at 61 I received 3 pints of blood in an emergency situation. Sure hope you get an answer for your homework.

As a person ages, the receptors to check on proper blood type are less and less properly done, the check becomes less and less effective, making the older person more likely to accept any kind of blood transfusion. Going with that logic, the 4 year old would have the biggest problem, especially since the ratio of blood would probably increase problems.
