  • Check out http://www.usgenweb.org. Go to Colorado's pages, and where you think the guy died, and see if there's any info about it. You may also simply try searching the internet for the guy's name (with and without middle initial), and location. Once you are relatively sure where he died (there are also plenty of SS Death Indexes on the internet), then check one of the links at my website at http://www.orangefrogproductions.com/ofp2m_links_genealogy_natdata+assistancepgms.shtml#vital-public-recs . Contact the state health department and ask them if they keep them, or if they are kept locally. They may be able to give you the number of whom you will need to contact. If it's not at the state level, call the locality (county first, then city/town) health departments where they died, and ask them where you can get death records. They will know or have them.
