Why do eggs cook so differently in the microwave?

I don't know but I do like them. take a coffee cup, crack two eggs into it, microwave for 127 seconds. instant snack. add a little american cheese and catsup if desired.

Maybe because it's a very different form of heat being used to cook them? +5

Because they cook from the inside out instead of from the outside in. A microwave heats the center of the object first.
