Delight.

It's usually a delight because I know which stores to expect customer service from, and which ones are mainly stocked with employees who don't take pride in their job.

Usually a disaster since most of the time I go out shopping, I know *exactly* what I want, and when I have a question it often turns out that I still know more about the products I am seeking than the saleperson. There *are* exceptions though. Every once in a while you run across a checkout clerk who is just so charming and nice, or a salesperson who really knows their stuff. That is why I tend to favor Autozone for my car needs even though they are not the cheapest or best, and why I love to buy my computer stuff from this little hole in the wall shop in Seattle. When it comes to shopping for electronics though, the only person I want to deal with is the person ringing me out.

omg, I can't stand automated customer service

If I go to the Customer Service desk myself, I usually have a pleasant transaction. If I'm waiting in a check out line, and the cashier turns her light one, I get irritated waiting for Customer Service to arrive, especially if they are standing at the desk, arms folded, BSing!

Some are better than other, that is for sure. I don't care enough about the issue to grade any at either extreme. +5

Most of the time it has been good. I had to send a computer off to Hewlett Packard a few years ago to get fixed and their customer service was terrible. They wouldn't give me any details about MY computer, they told me it could only be given to the shop.
