Did you read DaVinci Code? It's like an intricate tapestry of fiction/fact woven seamlessly together. If you read it, could you put the book down or did you stay up all hours reading it from cover to cover?

It is intriguing, mysterious, just enough fact to provide a basis for a spiderweb of fanciful flights. :)

Hi Rosie!
I have never read The DaVinci Code from cover to cover, but I have read parts of it. I have not viewed the movie either in full, with Tom Hanks and Audrey Tatou.
Actually I thought his convoluted plot-line somewhat contrived, and as a "thriller" I don't think it was too convincingly thrilling.
However,I AM interested in ancient religious sects and brotherhoods/sisterhoods. "The Lost Symbol" features the American Masons,so I wonder which group he will use for his next novel? +2

I was very disappointed in the movie. If the plot is contrived I didn't notice. It swept me away as it did everyone to whom we loaned the book....including my son who is a really smart guy! Happy Friday to you! :) I wasn't aware of the one you mention as being "in the pipeline". Will have to watch out for it! :)

I enjoy his novels as fiction. I am very interested in codes and puzzles. I just received "The Lost Symbol" from Amazon yesterday and will start reading it as soon as I am done with my current book.

Thanks,Barkley, for being the first to comment."The Lost Symbol" certainly saw record sales on its first day in print yesterday and will be another bestseller.
p.s.:I like your coded puzzle avatar as well. Or maybe you enjoy standing on your head, which some would also consider an arcane ritual, but good for the blood circulation. +2 points.
