  • In nature, living things evolve through changes in their DNA. In an animal like a chicken, DNA from a male sperm cell and a female ovum meet and combine to form a zygote -- the first cell of a new baby chicken. This first cell divides innumerable times to form all of the cells of the complete animal. In any animal, every cell contains exactly the same DNA, and that DNA comes from the zygote. Chickens evolved from non-chickens through small changes caused by the mixing of male and female DNA or by mutations to the DNA that produced the zygote. These changes and mutations only have an effect at the point where a new zygote is created. That is, two non-chickens mated and the DNA in their new zygote contained the mutation(s) that produced the first true chicken. That one zygote cell divided to produce the first true chicken. Prior to that first true chicken zygote, there were only non-chickens. The zygote cell is the only place where DNA mutations could produce a new animal, and the zygote cell is housed in the chicken's egg. So, the egg must have come first, and when it hatched, there was the chicken...
  • Maybe there was a force that came first that spontaneously invented the first chicken egg seed? Now there's a thought!
  • The thing that came first in all of those is Luck. Luck for any of it to happen.
  • The evolution of cellular life on earth started with a prokaryotes which evolved eubacteria and archaebacteria creating o2 in the earth by photosynthesis under the sea so ultra violet rays dont wipe away the inorganic substances. Through Early eukaryotes came diverse protists, hence multicellularity. creating many multicellular organisms we see today (like seeweed) whom survived. periods of time where animals started to appear with no siblings in the cambarian period..many mass extinction occured. Fish evolved into reptiles and amphibians.... Mammals and dinasarus appeared..mammals evolved...we evolved from monkeys??? well you believe what you want to believe.. its all about evolution..and we have Fossils to prove it..
  • After fertilization an egg is a single cell. Single-celled organisms were present long before multicellular ones, so the egg came first, of course the single celled organisms had to get in a good deal of evolving before chickens appeared. I think that the best way to look at this is to think of the chicken as an egg's way, a rather complicated one at that, of producing more eggs.
