I am attaching a photo of a suspected weed. What kind of plant is this and is it classified a "noxious weed?" It is tall and has a large plumage at the top. It also grows very quickly and is very hardy.

The state of Iowa legislature once declared (by resolution) THIS plant to be a "noxious weed": http://www.nps.gov/wica/naturescience/images/Annual-Sunflower.jpg It was a "dig" at the state of Kansas' state flower, because at that time, the Jayhawks were kicking the Hawkeyes' butts, on the football field. Your linked photo is too small for me to see the suspect plant clearly. Can you find a larger version of it, perhaps? +5

Okay, it looks like amaranth to me.
