    After you have scanned it you will have the option to save as: just save it to the file that is your jump drive.

    Save it as a picture and put the picture on. Or use OCR software like omnipage to scan the text into a doc or pdf file.

    Printers print. Scanners scan. Some machines do both. But you can't scan anything with just a printer.
