That's because your making the mistake of thinking money first advertising and marketing second. Drop shipping is easy but that doesn't mean simple. You need to target your market and hit it. The best method is to find what you like or something you know a lot about and do the research to ensure that there is demand there. Next you need to find how people would like to be buy it. For example: John knows his perfumes and he knows that in his area there are lots of young women who spend a lot of money on perfume he's checked Google trends for some of the newest perfumes and sees that there are increasing searches for quite a few. Being in a paycheck area he knows that people are more cash in hand than paypal or credit card so he goes onto craiglist and posts ads for cheap perfume in his area and a cash on delivery service, just contact him with the order and he'll bring it within three days. The dropshipper delivers next day free for orders over 50 bucks so John takes calls first day and second ordering on the second evening and does his deliveries the third day leaving answering machine on and collects the cash and pays the balance off his card before he incurrs any charges..... Now while this is an imaginary situation you see how little a part the dropshipper is playing and how big a part your playing, after all it's your business. Depending on where you are and what kind of market you want to target you'll hone your skills accordingly.
