  • It became legal when the company asked the government to bail it out financially. That made the government a majority owner of the company. When did it become a problem for the majority owner of a company to make key changes?
  • Not legal, just the American public is sitting back on their thumbs doing nothing and allowing this new government in force get by with a lot of things that should not be taking place. It's like everyone has shades on and can't see or they're asleep. If people don't start waking up soon, all our liberty is going to be gone.
  • I think the problems started with the last administration when they allowed Wall Street to go unregulated. There were no rules to protect the American citizen from the way business was being run by big business concerning loans, hidden information, and greed. They were responsible for the near crash of the economy. President Obama had to take the economy by the horns to keep the whole system from crashing and they have. There is still more to happen when congress passes all the bills it must to get some rules and regulations so there isn't a repetition of what happened a year ago. Liberty doesn not mean you can do anything you want to without responsibility.
  • When those CEOs and car dealerships asked the president and citizens for help because they can't perform their job functions. They suck at it and needed us to bail them out. I think that calls for a little intervention. Or do you think it's a good idea for a car manufacturer to request billions from us and then turn around and spend $600,000 on a full page ad in a magazine?
  • The majority owners of a company have a majority of the control and it that means setting wages/bonus and personnel policy. The government legality has no place in this discussion. It is a matter of who has the authority based on ownership. You are trying to "have your cake and eat it also." An old saying for hypocrisy and trying to have things both ways which is impossible.
  • Ah yes let us take things out of context eh? Where is said liberties for kiddie porn producers? Or meth lab technicians? Same differences
  • A CEO can be fired for not doing their job properly.....it's called common sense. If you don't do the job like you are supposed to, you get fired, just like in any other job.
