Quite a few questions make me sad, but they don't really make me feel any better about my own life, just worse about the world and society as a whole.

yes. for example, "what is the hardest thing for you to think about?" makes me sad, but "What is your best, worst, funniest, and craziest, childhood memory?" makes me happy.
