  • A series of sounds designed to provoke an emotional response.
  • Only if I were blind?! ;-)
  • Let's see: Rap music: Punch them in the face, maybe stab them a little and bust a cap in their *ss for good measure. That oughta do it. Country music: Steal their spouses, total their pickup truck, and put them in jail for drunk and disorderly conduct. Should do it for this genre. Classical music: Soothing massage to relax them, then slap them in the face for the really upbeat parts. Opera music: They won't be able to hear this either, but they'll sure feel it if you shove an icepick in their ears. This would be about as real as it gets, in fact, even if you aren't deaf! 90's punk: Two words: Mosh pit. Techno: Beat them incessently with a stick, never ever ever changing the tempo no matter what the song is. Did I mention NEVER to change the tempo? At all? Rock/Heavy Metal: Get them drunk/stoned, have them slam their brains around inside their skulls by violently nodding their heads up and down to an imaginary beat for about three hours. Oh yeah...and burn their thumbs off with a bic lighter by having them wave a lit lighter around for the entire three hour period. And bounce some t*tties form another drunk/stoned rocker in their face for good measure. Did I miss anything? :):):) EDIT I response to a comment noting that I missed LOVE songs, I add the following: Love sonnets: A walk in the park on a warm spring day, holding hands and watching children play. Sitting next to each other on a cozy couch in front of a warm fire place on a cold, winter day. Passionate hugs and kisses after a long separateion. Holding a newborn child as he cries out for the first time. Songs about love and lost love: . .
  • You might get close to demonstration a pattern of rhythmic movements on the person's body (with their permission, of course). When they react, you could ask the person if the pattern evoked an emotional feeling within them. You could then explain that what they experienced was "music".
  • Yes, a series of different vibrations.
