Well, first you need to show him, so that he earns his points and titles to PROVE he should be CONSIDERED for breeding. You also need to have his hips x-rayed to insure he is not going to add to the problems that this breed has with hip dysplasia!!! VERY IMPORTANT! This is the responsible direction to go... By the time he has earned his championship title, he will be about 2 years old, if you apply yourself. Also, you want to train him to have good manners so that he passes his CGC Canine Good Citizenship test, and have him Temperament tested too. With all of this done...your dog will command a much higher stud fee...AND you will know that you are helping to promote the very best quality of GSD breeding.
