1991 chevy silverado it takes a long time to start, once it startes its ok after that. I changed to oil filter and it didn't help.Can anyone help? (2009-09-11)

When was the last time you looked at your distributor cap?. If there's a crack in it especially on days it's a little humid or actually raining, you have to get the moisture out of it. This may be why that once you've started it it runs ok. It could also be fouled plugs which means it's running a bit rich.Take a look at your inline fuel filter.Is it dirty?. You should always change your oil filer whenever you change your oil. It's necessary.
