Common sense deals with an obvious perception which is expected to be common to everybody. An example of common sense: If you do not know how to swim, you are not expected to swim in the river.

Common Sense is a great book by Thomas Paine ... few have read it, sadly its theme is still valid today :-)

It's knowing what is generally right and what you should do and that kind of thing. Knowing what is bad and what isn't.
