  • Probably depends on what it is. A few years back a friend gave us this cheese tray thing with all kinds of different cheeses and crackers. There happened to be something going around in the family that week. I ate a whole bunch of these cheeses and then that night, it was my turn to get sick. It had nothing to do with the cheeses. But even now, a couple years later, I have trouble stomaching any cheese that's at all exotic - sticking to cheddar, mozzarella, etc.
  • This defintely happens with alcohol, had too much one night and now anytime I smell that same drink it makes me feel like puking.
  • With me it was Burger King and their Woppers, yes they are mighty tasty - and yes I always get sick from them. Finally - after years of torture - I said the hell with it - no more Burger King food...and so it stands today. Yes they are good - but to me they are deadly. And it took me about 10 years to realize the fact that I should not eat them anymore.
  • I wont eat it again for at least a week probably
  • I guess it depends on my association of the illness with the food. And maybe some other factors as well, like age. When I was younger, I got REALLY sick and puked my guts up after eating pumpkin pie, which I LOVED at the time. But this was very likely because I ate the whole pie. Or two. Or more that night..... Anyway, I couldn't stand pumpkin pie for years. But it's back on my list of desserts I'll eat again!
  • Yes!! Peanut butter is hard to eat after you've seen someone else throw it back and so is spaghetti. After having to drink the Go Lightly (dumb name) syrup for a colonoscopy, it took me a long time before I could drink Sprite or Sierra Mist again. It has a lemon/lime flavor that is very similar. The last time I had surgery for something else I was eating a lot of yogurt and I haven't been able to touch that since and that's been 10 months. I got violently ill after eating pizza from the only place in town that will deliver to our address and I won't eat there again. Think it was food poisoning.
  • When I was a kid I forgot to chew the shrimp in a chinese dish and ended up vomiting, and spent weeks assuming I was allergic to "chinese food", despite what people kept telling me.
