  • That is one loaded question. Yes, it can be seen like that, to some people -- and to some people, that's exactly what they are doing... In other cases, ie. where the pregnancy can harm the health of the mother - the abortion is necessary to save the mother's life. There are many reasons to have an abortion ... whether it's right or wrong, should probably be left to another thread.
  • I think it's all down to not feeling ready or confident enough to become a parent at that time. I know of a few of couples who have had abortions, to have a child 5 years or so down the road. +4
  • Some people see it that way. Others see it as simply making a decision about one's future. Not everyone believes that life begins at conception, and to those who don't, an abortion has the same moral implications as getting a tooth filled.
  • Many women who have had one say it was a much bigger mistake than the pregnancy. And, it haunts you forever.
  • Responsibility is inevitable here but the "fear" ought to be defined well. Is one to be afraid of the girl's dady?
  • Abortion is running away from responsibility. And it's a complete crime against nature. I'm not a religious freak, but abortion is something weak, pathetic people do. Sorry, but it's true. If one has any guts at all they will give their child up for adoption.
  • Abortion is running away of your responsibilities..and its your mistake and you have guts to face it....its life cycle inside you..and i m agree many couples adopt child...while you killing the life before grown up..
  • Yes, yes, and yes. It's far easier to kill one's offspring than deal with the responsibility of caring for them, or allowing someone else to. No offense intended, but it's the selfish, inhumane, cowardly way out of a tough spot.
