Thank you for your answer, you expressed your opinion very well. Though I disagree with you. Don't forget that men are born virgins too and have to give it away at some point in their lives.I AGREE with you that some men are monsters who don't care; but some guys do care about their virginity and who they give it away to. Also, I think sex has as much emotional value as you give it. It is an animalistic instinct. As well, though SOME girls DO get taken advantage of their 1st time; not all of them do. I didn't feel pressured or forced and the guy treated me really well afterwards and said it made him feel really special that I CHOSE him to be my 1st.

There were 2 reasons why I felt my virginity was a burden. The 1st reason was because of men that specifically have your opinion on the subject. A neighbor of mine (who is my father's age) tried to force himself on me specifically because he had figured out I was still pure and wanted to feel powerful and leave his mark on me. The other reason was far more personal. I had a phobia in my head that I was doomed to get pregnant if I ever had sex; no matter what I did. Losing my virginity made me realize that I had control over my life. It was a HUGE burden in my life that NEEDED to be eliminated. I have no emotional attachment to my virginity and I gave it to a man who's a good friend of mine.

The crux of the biscuit seems more that to you is is just tissue, a flap of skin. Not only that, but one with seeming no use than preventing you from having sex. In this culture we know, if you are not boinking you have to be a loser. Would you say your life is that cheap? Maybe not. But some people find life a burden, that doesn't make life any less valuable. As far as guys wishing to make sport of you, they will do that if you are a virgin or not. And not being a virgin and active might even make them think you are easy, just a piece of meat. Preying on the weak is an animalistic trait too. But we don't take from the weak because we are strong.. And the guy to whom you gave it I can bet my donuts to anyone dollars you will not be a permanent item 3 years from now. And when you meet that man you know you will spend your life with, a gift that was suppose to be his you will have gave away to someone who most likely will have faded away. Seriously, if you think that a woman's greatest gift from God is her virginity, then you obviously don't have much self-esteem or think very highly of women in general. What about a woman's beauty, charm, intelligence, mental strength, cleverness, courage, gentleness? Aren't there any other gifts from god that are more important than whether you've had intercourse before or not? Besides, when you get married, the man you get hitched to should love YOU for your qualities as a HUMAN BEING not as an object that has been unsoiled by other men. There's a lot more important things in the world than virginity and people put WAY TOO MUCH emphasis and importance on it. Sex is a natural, animalistic desire and it's HARD to not do it until you are 25-30. I think you're either very confused, a big religious fanatic or don't have much self-esteem.

Hypocrisy not only has self esteem; he has respect for others. As long as you feel that sex is simply an animalistic instinct, you will never experience the true gift of sexuality. The most precious things in this life can also be burdens. It takes wisdom to know which burdens to unload.

Thanks Thrifty. @Vaporeongirl, my fiancee is not a virgin, imagine that, but I love her just the same. She only whishes she could have saved herself for me because she seen all the guys before me really did not deserve it. To her she was just a piece of tail, something for fun. They never seen her as a whole person but just a piece of T&A. It realy is one of the few most priceless things a woman has from birth. Once it is gone you can't take it back even if the guy acts like a complete SOB the moment he rolls off you. If you would not give a guy a expensive watch or Lamborghini with so little thought, why give him something priceless if he has not shown himself with out doubt to be genuine?

I suppose you have stated your point well; though I don't agree with it completely. Do you think virginity is of any importance to men at all? Men are born virgins too. Do you think a man's virginity has any value or just a woman's?
