Lyndon B. Johnson created the Presidential Physical Fitness Award and told kids exercise was important. No one freaked out then and shielded their kids from hearing Johnson. Why is Obama telling kids to work hard and study hard so scary to some?

Well, because Lyndon Johnson was white and Barack Obama is black. You see, because Lyndon Johnson was white, the country could be confident that his message about physical fitness would be completely ignored. (Which, let's face it, it has been.) But Barack Obama is black, and therefore vastly more effective and persuasive as a spokesperson in front of the general public, so there's a possibility that children will actually listen to his communist message that they should study hard and stay in school. And, God help us, they might just do it. Which, of course, would be the downfall of Western Civilization, socialism would reign triumphant, and all the cute little puppy dogs and kitty cats in the world would be summarily snuffed out. No, no. We just can't tolerate that kind of thing.
