  • They usually "pre-adapt" themselves to the time at their destination city, so that if they arrive at midnight (local time) for example, they might go right to bed. But, if they arrive at 6 PM (local time), they might force themselves to stay awake until at least 10 PM, local time, so they can be asleep during the hours of darkness. Also, the departure time of their next flight is a factor in what they do upon arriving, as many flight crews like to get at least 6 hours of sleep between flight assignments. I dated an Ozark Airlines flight attendant in the 1960s, and she was always calling me long-distance, to cancel our dates, for a variety of legitimate reasons. It was very frustrating at times, but I was very supportive of her career choice. +5
