I'm 58 years young and I tell you from personal experience that my erections are just as firm today as they were when I was in my teens. Now it might take a little longer but the results is the same. I've met guys 10, 20 years older than me and they've assure me that their ages hasn't deminished the firmness of their erections so I don't think we have too much to worry about in that department. Please note that in my case and the older guys whom I mentioned we all have one thing in common; we've avoided many bad habits, foods and drinks that might interfere. Alcohol is a real bummer to keeping a good erection. I stopped drinking many years ago and I'm very glad that I did. Same thing for smoking and it helps to keep your weight down.

There are several normal changes that occur as a male becomes older like decreased production of testosterone, decreased size and firmness of the testicles, reduced sperm production, increase in the size of the prostate (prostatitis), the erection may be delayed, less firm erection and shorter orgasm (orgasm phase). If a man remains sexually active in his youth and middle years, he can continue to be active in his later life. However, if a man stops having sex in his 50's and 60's, the chance of becoming impotent is greater. If he and his partner are able to use special techniques that rely heavily on genital stimulation, then he will be able to stay sexually active well into his advance years

On the morning of my 50th birthday I got out of the shower and using the mirror and my hand reassured myself that the quality of my erection was no different from what it had been 20 years earlier. At the time I had no reason to think that things might change but by the time I celebrated my 55th birthday I was known in certain circles as "mister softee". In my 58th year Viagra went on the market but I put off "talking to my doctor" until I was 60. One of the more notable quotes from Pfizer at that time was from a VP in Marketing. Paraphrased it was "a 60 year old male will not obtain the same formidable erection he got when he was in his thirties..." At least in my case, how true. Rob59

53 and everything is like it was 20-30 years ago. Of course, I don't do drugs or smoke, but I eat just about anything I want, in moderation.

I am 70 and can say yes just as firm but not as long lasting. Cialis takes care of that problem though.

I always thought erections are always hard. If it's not hard, it's not erect.
