ooh.that's a tough one.i would think the gender that was most prevalant would the "labeled" gender but i think they would decline acceptence to the athlete.

That is a tough question. I'm guessing it would be the gender that the person most identifies themselves as. Also, I'm guessing the gender that they legally claim. If they've had all the surgeries, and they could claim their "new" gender, they would be entered as such. At least, this would be my assumption/opinion.

i might be wrong, but i am pretty sure the rules state that a person must be genetically born a woman. so if a man has an operation to change his sex, even though he believes he is a she, then that would disqualify him or her.

International Olympic Committee enacted a policy on transsexuals before an elite athlete could force the question. The committee said transgender athletes could compete in the Olympics if they met certain requirements, such as completing genital reconstructive surgery and at least two years of hormonal therapy. The IOC also requires that "legal recognition of their assigned sex has been conferred by the appropriate official authorities," such as by a nation's courts. i found this on a news site. We can compete, apparently.
