How do you feel about Obama's plan to make a live speech to all school children?

Why, of course! Republicans are saying Obama should be taking care of more important business that going to visit a school. But remember when 9/11 happened? Remember where they broke the news to Georgoe Bush? He was sitting in the middle of a group of school children, reading a book to them. What's up with that? What's good for one President should be good for another one. Maybe the Republicans should just pull their children out for that day just to make a statement. I just wonder what that statement would be.

I don't care, more then likely it wont play in my kids school, because this area the teachers/pto wont allow it to be played, this is a pretty much republican area. I think it would be kind of stupid to play it, and hypocritical in our district, because our district pulled funding at the last minute for a parental approved field trip to meet Bush, because of some complaints from a democrat. Me I hate both parties, but I can't stand hypocrisy so if they play it here I will be annoyed. But I don't care if my kids see it, just like I allowed my kids to meet bush.

if our presidents spent more time valuing education instead of leaving kids behind, our country would be better off. i hope that obama is that person.

Some public schools in our area reject the idea of publishing his speech to the children. Smart folks!! I can only applaud to the local school system for doing it. LOL

The presidency has been used as a bully pulpit ever since this country was founded. I can think of many worse messages than "Stay in school and work hard."

From a British perspective, based on coverage in a British newspaper I just cannot believe the objections to it - I don't understand how people can claim he will be brainwashing with Marxist propaganda. Unbelieveable. He is your President, he was voted in democratically, and why would you not want to expose your children to the political system and the elected president of your country? It is beyond comprehension to me.
