I love my acce4nt but I change it accordingly. I don't like to go around changing who I am for anyone, but it does make it easier something because people automatically assume that if you speak like NY, than you are some steriotype. I don't like to be judged right off the bat. So I can hide it. Then make you deal with it later on

Nope, I'm proud of my accent.

Oh, I'm proud! I from Scotland and I love MY scottish accent (even if it means people from Wales and England don't understand me, the Irish do!) I'm also from Glasgo - it's apparently a 'hard' accent but I'm a small female, if having a hard accent is why I dont get picked on or bullied then I am grateful for it, I also feel it is part of my identity. For the record, I love the Southern Irish accent AND the Southern American, especially Alabama! (My bestest friend lives there)
