I'd wonder why they would do that? But I guess not everyone is honest on the internet or anywhere else for that matter. A shame!

Nothing. Why should I care. It's not like it is my best friend lying to me. If they want to pretend go ahead. Does not disturb me at all.

I don't think it matters - the internet isn't a place to be completely honest anyways. It is that person's choice.

How would i even be able to tell? Unless i studied all their answers looking for discrepancies in the info they gave...
