If you can't drink and drive, why do you need a driver's license to buy liquor, and why do bars have parking lots?

You don't need a drivers license to buy it. You need a valid I.D. and for most people that is a drivers license.

you can't drink or drive if underage...the drivers license are for age,ID....and the parking lots are because people will always drink and drive and for designated drivers...:)

One can buy liquor with a state-issued ID that is not a license. So there. :P lol

They have car parks because not everyone drinks alcohol.

Clever question, I'm not even sure if you're serious, but here's a serious answer. You don't have to have a drivers license. You can also use a military or state issued ID to buy liquor. And the parking lots are so SOBER people can drive up and buy their liquor. I don't know if it's the same in all states but where I live you can get into trouble if you sell alcohol to someone who's already obviously intoxicated.
