Nope, don't like it at all. Those questions are still getting rejected as duplicates, thank heavens. +5

I asked a Community Leader about this practice. If they are flagged as duplicates, the questions will be rejected. Easy points if you want to flag these duplicates.

When I first came here I was advised by a long time and high ranking member that whenever I want to ask questions tied to a specific day I must state the date in the Q. The site where I was previously a member had ALL questions close after 5 days with no possibility of answering after that time. So, duplicates were encouraged to get new opinions at later dates. Zero (0) points were awarded for asking a question. I learned duplicates were against the rules here, and was told to always place a date on the Q, when asking on certain topics. I have asked on many topics - price of gas, prices of grocery items, what's cooking, what is your weather today, what are you planting at this time of year, and many more, always specifying the date. If this is against the rules, kindly advise! I was also advised by a Top 10 ranking member that when I asked a question which needed revision and the "edit" feature had timed out, I should ask it again. I followed their instructions and it was immediately rejected as a duplicate. It appears that even among the highest ranking members there are different understandings and/or interpretations of how the rules are to be applied. Either that or several people deliberately mis-directed me, which I don't think was the case (hope not!) I like to follow the rules, not "get around" them, but in order to do so I must understand exactly what the rules are. Thanks for any further clarification from any here. +5
